Igaming affiliate business Game Lounge has announced former Webgains CEO Richard Dennys as its new chief executive.
Dennys will officially take the reins on 12 February, replacing Jonas Cederholm, who has acted as CEO since co-founding the SEO-driven affiliate business with Fredrik Langeland in 2011.
He said he was “absolutely thrilled” to be joining the Cherry AB-owned business. “We have very ambitious plans for growth and I am raring to go”.
Game Lounge called the appointment a “strategic move…designed to harness Richard’s extensive experience and innovative vision to steer our company into a new era of growth and opportunities”.
To ease the transition, Dennys will work initially alongside Cederholm. “This collaboration maintains continuity by leveraging Jonas’ deep company knowledge and ensures that Game Lounge remains well-positioned for continued success”, added the Malta-headquartered company.
Dennys departed Webgains in May 2023 after nearly seven years at the helm of the retail affiliate network, stating his intent in a LinkedIn post to focus on rebuilding his mental and physical self before taking on his next challenge in 2024.
