Player protection-focused affiliate Casino Guru has entered into a strategic partnership with the BetBlocker gambling behaviour tool.

The free software, which enables player to block and customise access to more than 84,000 sites, will form part of Casino Guru’s Global Self-Exclusion initiative (GSEI) to provide “a seamless self-exclusion experience” and technological support for those seeking help with risky behaviours.

BetBlocker founder Duncan Garvie (pictured on left with Casino Guru's Šimon Vincze at iGB L!VE) said the combination of its tech with the affiliate’s resources and global reach would help create “a more effective safety net for those struggling with gambling addiction”.

Casino Guru’s unified approach to exclusions via the GSEI was what “players need and the industry should implement”, said the ex-webmaster of thePogg.com, recently merged along with its alternative dispute resolution service into CasinoReviews.com by Blexr.

Casino Guru’s Head of Sustainable and Safer Gambling, Šimon Vincze, added that the perfect complement of BetBlocker to Casino Guru’s Global Self-Exclusion Initiative would provide “a ready world-wide protection in the absence of a global self-exclusion system.

He added: “Together, we can leverage our strengths to foster a more sustainable industry and ensure that help is readily available to those in need."

The collaboration will also extend to research, awareness campaigns and the new tools and resources designed to better support players and gambling-related harm.

Garvie is part of a growing group of former affiliates to launch software solutions aimed at the igaming sector, which includes Statsdrone’s John Wright, Rightlander’s Ian Sims and now exited DeepCI/PartnerMatrix Intelligence co-founder Riaan de Jager.
