The appointment has confirmed QiH’s leadership which consists of Winder as CFO, David Murphy as CMO, Sachin Saxena as CTO, Andrew Lee as COO and Jamie Walters as CEO and co-founder.
Winder joined the affiliate company after seven years with Spotlight Sports Group in financial positions. He most recently served as group finance director and CFO from January 2023.
The new QiH CFO also previously worked at the Football Association as its group financial controller for five years until November 2016.
QiH has revealed that Winder is expected to use his “growth-oriented financial experience to support the business's rapid growth”, as well as setting long-term finance strategies and working with departments to achieve overall profit and loss goals.
“We’ve made no secret of the fact that our business is growing fast. FY2023 delivered 75 percent growth in both revenue and profit and 2024 is on track to achieve the same again,” said CEO and co-founder Jamie Walters.
“Simon is an integral part of the formula we need to support this growth and to help take QiH Group into the next phase of our business.”
Walters went on to praise the affiliate’s HR director, Andrea Talreja for “her incisive and insightful executive search that has brought us the support at C-level that we need to forge ahead.”
Winder, who started his post on 1 November, said: After a wonderful and rewarding seven years with SSG, it’s great to be moving to a young company with the reputation for innovation, growth and compliance that QiH Group has.
“Having watched the affiliate’s progress from the outside these past four years, it will be extremely fulfilling to be part of the action.”
