Checkd Media posts 157% growth in conversions following organic strategy overhaul

Checked Media reported a boost in organic performance since 2023 Q3, driven by a strategic transformation across SEO, digital PR, and CRO.

The affiliate's organic search team announced a 157% increase in the conversion rate for its brand Footy Accumulators, climbing from 1.1% to 2.9%. Average monthly organic users also grew by 17%, with more than 150,000 unique users now visiting the site each month. 

This transformation followed key leadership changes in October 2023 as George Webb joined as the head of SEO alongside James Dixon as the head of digital PR to enhance performance marketing and boost onsite traffic and revenue. 

Commenting on the results, Webb said the team is delighted to see that the “strategic revamp to focus on organic search has already seen fantastic success”. He attributed the success to the early identification of key priorities that helped “boost the on-site performance” of the affiliate’s brands. 

The updated strategy included targeted keyword research focusing on high-intent search terms, strategic link-building to improve rankings for key commercial pages, and conversion rate optimisation (CRO) to enhance user experience through combining UI enhancements with refinements to the betting tip strategy.

Checkd Media has won multiple industry awards this year, including Marketing Campaign of the Year and nominations for Best Sports Betting Affiliate and Innovator of the Year at the iGB Affiliate Awards 2024

Looking ahead, Dixon said: “Our focus is to continue building on this successful organic performance seen across Footy Accumulators with impressive results also being seen on FlashPicks and The Winners Enclosure.” 

“With 2025 bringing some of the biggest events in our calendar, we anticipate that the organic results will continue in this trend.”
