- REGULATION & COMPLIANCE
QMRA, the compliance quality mark, has launched its service in Australia to join a list of available markets including Germany, the UK, Italy and Sweden.
Brands in Australia who submit sites to QMRA will receive a compliance report, which contains feedback if needed, and can be used in certain cases to help obtain a Meta Ads licence.
The quality mark also provides sites with a specific online certificate about the member website which explains its compliance and allows the site owner to consult QMRA on compliance related questions.
The quality mark was launched in January 2024 by XY Legal Solutions, the founder of the KVA affiliate kitemarking system for the Dutch market. It was initially launched in six markets, with Australia becoming the 15th country available for the service.
At launch, the price of a yearly QMRA membership was set at €695 (£595/$757) and discounted by €100 when a company offers three or more sites.
Back in October 2024, Gentoo Media’s Sitebee partnered with QMRA to provide legal expertise for its platform. This enabled Sitebee to offer its clients real-time compliance solutions through QMRA’s knowledge of regulatory frameworks across multiple markets. The platform also provides tailored legal insights to help operators anticipate and adapt to changing regulatory requirements.
Gentoo Media also last year confirmed that it would make QMRA part of its official company policy and undertake a review of all its sites every two months.
