Affiliate Monitor: April 2025

By Stephen Carter

Head of content

With investors only seemingly buying Gambling.com Group’s story at the moment, Scott Longley posits that igaming affiliates' affair with the European public markets which began back in 2014 with XLMedia is nearing its end. He also rounds up the headline numbers and developments from the last round of quarterly earnings calls.

Will the era of European public listings that began just over a decade ago soon be over for igaming affiliates?

Analysis of share price performances indicates an underlying lack of faith in the model, Scott Longley argues, rather than a response to the recent buffeting of this SEO-driven sector by Google updates and company-specific disappointments.

Gentoo Media, which chalked up its 16th consecutive quarter of growth under the highly rated Jonas Warrer could be seen to bucking the trend of a European listed sector in inexorable decline. But despite continued buying by various related interests of board member and STS’ founder Mateusz Juroszek, the stock continues to fall.

Acroud recently coming under majority private control could prove the harbinger of the listed sector’s return to private hands.
