Sportsbook data and pricing provider OpticOdds has announced the appointment of Leo Barker as its VP commercial for EMEA.
Barker (below) has over a decade of experience in sports betting partnerships and commercial strategy. He previously spent three years at OpenBet, serving as director of customer success and later as senior director of commercial EMEA. In these roles, he played a key part in expanding OpenBet’s partnership network and strengthening relationships with leading European sportsbook operators. Earlier in his career, he also served as director of customer success at Light & Wonder and as head of business development at Genius Sports.
Commenting on his new role, Barker said he is “genuinely excited to be joining OpticOdds at this pivotal moment”, helping drive the company’s growth in sportsbook pricing and technology.
“The company’s innovative approach to pricing and technology represents exactly what forward-thinking operators demand in today’s market,” he said.
“Backed by Gambling.com’s expertise and market leadership, OpticOdds is redefining what’s possible in sportsbook technology solutions. I’m looking forward to contributing to this talented team as we shape the future of the industry together.”
OpticOdds and OddsJam were acquired by Gambling.com Group last year for up to $160 million (£119 million/€141 million). The super affiliate has since recovered from its North American slowdown and posted Q1 revenue of $40.6 million, growing 39% year-on-year.
It also attributed its 405% year-on-year revenue increase in sports data subscription services to the acquisition and expects recurring subscription revenue to account for over 20% of its 2025 revenue.
