Super affiliate Gentoo Media has appointed Jesper Ribacka to its board of directors.
Ribacka brings more than 15 years of experience in digital marketing, SEO and affiliate business models. He co-founded Sweden’s largest betting affiliate, Ribacka Group AB, which was acquired by Better Collective in 2018 for up to €30 million (£25.3 million/ $34.3million).
Following the acquisition, he served as director of Better Collective Sweden and sat on the affiliate’s nomination committee. In 2020, he launched Ribacka Media, a US-focused affiliate marketing company that runs major sports communities, including Bettor In Green.
In a LinkedIn post announcing the move, Ribacka said he was “excited” to join Gentoo Media’s board and praised the company’s focus on “sharp execution and long-term thinking”.
Speaking to iGB Affiliate, he added: “The team’s clarity of purpose and commitment to sustainable growth in a complex industry really stood out to me. I’m looking forward to contributing where I can – especially on strategic development and compliance – and to helping Gentoo keep setting the standard for what responsible affiliate marketing can be.”
Gentoo Media CEO Jonas Warrer told iGB Affiliate: “We’re proud to welcome an industry expert to the board – someone with deep insight into the many moving parts that define a successful iGaming affiliate business.”
“Jesper brings both perspective and experience, and I’m confident he’ll help strengthen our strategic direction and keep pushing the business forward,” Warrer continued.
Recently, Gentoo reported an 11% year-on-year drop in revenue to €24.8 million for Q1 2025, ending a 16-quarter streak of uninterrupted growth. The affiliate attributed the decline to market volatility in Brazil and implemented broad layoffs. At the same time, it bolstered its senior team with the promotions of Micha Leth Hellerøe to chief people officer and Dijana Radunovic to senior director of sales.
