We are looking for
 
As the Head of the Spain/Italy/Portugal Team in the Casino Department at Game Lounge, you will be the senior executive responsible for shaping the strategic direction, growth, and financial success of our core market.
 
 
 
Your role involves overseeing a high-performing team, driving organic traffic, diversifying revenue streams, and ensuring cost-efficiency within your business unit.
 
 
 
What you’ll do
 
Strategic Planning:
 
Develop and implement robust growth plans focused on positioning our sites as the foremost casino affiliate platforms.
Align team objectives with the company's overall business strategy and ensure a proactive response to emerging market trends and opportunities.
Spearhead strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
 
 
Financial Accountability:
 
Take ownership of the profit & loss (P/L) statement, closely monitoring financial performance.
Implement corrective actions and devise strategies to enhance financial metrics, demonstrating strong leadership.
 
 
Traffic Growth and Diversification:
 
Lead organic growth initiatives, placing a strong emphasis on SEO strategies.
Explore and implement innovative methods to diversify traffic growth through paid marketing, sponsored collaborations, and partnerships.
Identify and implement diverse revenue streams beyond conventional commission-based income.
Collaborate with partners to explore new monetization opportunities.
 
 
Website Optimization and Innovation:
 
Implement best practices in website structuring to enhance user experience and search engine performance.
Drive innovation by integrating cutting-edge tools and features to increase returning visitors and overall site engagement.
Ensure localised and relevant content.
 
 
Performance Monitoring:
 
Continuously track KPIs and adjust strategies as necessary to meet and exceed targets.
Collaborate with the Sales team to optimise the representation of top-converting operators on our sites.
 
 
Resource Management and Recruitment:
 
Optimise team efficiency and manage costs effectively.
Identify HR gaps and recruit, mentor, and manage team members to ensure optimal performance.
Implement workforce planning strategies to align team resources with evolving business needs.
 
 
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
 
Coordinate with the Director of Casino and other Heads of Teams to align strategies and share best practices.
Collaborate with the Director of Product Operations to ensure operational support for team needs.
Forge strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance visibility.
 
 
Continuous Improvement:
 
Stay updated with industry and market trends, ensuring operational strategies remain cutting-edge. Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging team members to contribute new ideas and solutions.
 
The ideal candidate should have
 
Proven senior leadership experience in affiliate marketing, iGaming.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Spanish/Italian/Portuguese landscape, including regulations, player preferences, and industry trends.
Strong analytical skills, demonstrating expertise in interpreting a wide range of data, from financial figures to SEO and digital marketing KPIs, with a specific focus on the nuances of the Spanish/Italian/Portuguese market.
In-depth understanding of SEO, paid search, and other traffic generation methods tailored to the Spanish/Italian/Portuguese gaming audience.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, partners, and team members.
Proven track record of strategic thinking, demonstrating the ability to develop and execute plans that align with the unique dynamics of the iGaming market.
Familiarity with the regulatory environment and compliance requirements specific to the gaming industry.
Proactive in staying updated on industry developments, ensuring that strategies are not only cutting-edge but also compliant and adaptable to changes.
Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in addressing challenges and opportunities.
Ability to leverage cultural insights and local market knowledge to optimise website content, user experience, and engagement strategies.
Demonstrated success in leading teams to navigate and excel in the complexities of the iGaming landscape.
Proven ability to forge strong relationships with key players in the market, contributing to the growth and visibility of casino affiliate websites.
Compulsory proficiency in Spanish, both spoken and written, enabling effective communication with local stakeholders and understanding the nuances of the market.
Exceptional presentation skills, capable of effectively communicating complex strategies, performance metrics, and business objectives to both internal and external stakeholders.
