Business Intelligence Analyst

Your mission
Odds Scanner is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team in Malta.

We are a media and technology startup based in Malta active in several European and Latin American markets in the sports and gambling industries. We have a diverse and international team, working primarily from Malta, Portugal and Brazil, but with team members from all over the world.

With a culture that values data-driven decision-making, we are rapidly expanding our Performance team by bringing in members who are passionate about enhancing sales and marketing performance, increase business revenue, and improve overall processes.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a crucial role in both the development and maintenance of our BI ecosystem. This position involves supporting a variety of departments, including C-level executives, sales, marketing, CRM, media buying, and product,  by providing data-driven decision support.

Your mission will be to understand the different business needs and challenges, generate actionable analytics reports, and provide data-driven recommendations to the operational teams. 

You will rapidly be involved in the development and reporting of marketing experiments, and work closely with your management team to implement optimisations and strategies benefiting the Odds Scanner affiliate ecosystem/performance.

This position will lead you to build a large knowledge about the various facets of an online digital business. This is also the opportunity to be a pivotal part of our rapidly growing BI team and make a significant impact on our business trajectory.

Responsibilities
Optimise and bring evolutions/improvements to our BI tools, databases, dashboards, systems, and methodologies.

Build data analytics models to challenge the performances and earnings of various traffic sources, affiliate strategies, markets and deals.

Support the development of new products and traffic sources with reporting and data-driven insights

Contribute to the creation and maintenance of internal dashboard and analytical reports.

Lead A/B tests and other experiments

Collaborate with your management to bring data-driven insights to C-level executives and operational teams.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into actionable insights.

Requirements
More than 2 years experience in a data analytics position

Understanding of relational databases

SQL

Python and R, are, a plus

Experience with BI and data visualisation tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

Understanding/Knowledge or Experience or in the main digital marketing areas (concepts, main tools) :

Web Analytics

Paid traffic (PPC, Social ads, …)

Organic traffic (SEO, social)

Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Familiarity with affiliate marketing is beneficial, but not required.

Fluent in English
