The Role
The SEO manager is responsible for creating and implementing both short- and long-term strategies while conducting comprehensive SEO analyses and audits. It includes diagnosing SEO issues, training the content team, and ensuring product compliance with SEO principles. Additionally, the position focuses on driving organic traffic growth and producing actionable insights from competitor and keyword analyses.
What you'll be doing
Strategy Development: Work directly with the Head of SEO to define and implement long-term and short-term SEO strategies, collaborating from brainstorming to execution.
SEO Analysis: Conduct comprehensive SEO analyses, including OnPage, OffPage, and technical audits, to identify growth opportunities and areas for optimization.
Issue Diagnosis: Diagnose and resolve SEO issues to ensure the website adheres to best practices and stays ahead of algorithm changes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with editorial, product, and cross-functional teams to ensure the correct implementation of SEO strategies.
Training and Support: Train and support the content team on SEO requirements and best practices for implementation.
Traffic Growth: Drive initiatives to grow organic traffic across various markets.
Product Compliance: Work with the Product Team to ensure new website features and product releases align with SEO principles.
Competitor and Keyword Analysis: Produce and analyze competitor and keyword data to inform strategy.
Technical Audits: Conduct technical website audits and troubleshoot problem pages.
Actionable Insights: Derive actionable insights from SEO reports and prioritize them within the roadmap.
OffPage Strategies: Manage and develop effective OffPage strategies.
What we are looking for
Technical Requirements
Has a deep understanding of intent driven content optimisation, keyword research, SEO-friendly content creation, OnPage SEO techniques, and the ability to develop, implement, and optimize OnPage SEO, strategies.
Possesses the capability to diagnose and fix technical SEO issues, including crawl errors, canonical issues, hreflang debugging, schema outlines, and performance optimisations impacting SEO.
Understands the importance of OffPage SEO and is able to create strategies to fully benefit from the larger architecture of the internet as a whole.
Advanced understanding of SEO principles with proficiency in HTML/CSS and a good, understanding of the importance of code rendering.
Expertise in using SEO tools such as and tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Yoast amoung others.
Familiarity with CMS like WordPress and adaptability to use custom CMS.
A deep understanding of Google's ranking algorithm.
