The Role
As an Engineering Manager at Legend, you'll lead a team focused on customer-facing feature development and optimisation. You'll manage and mentor a team of engineers, engaging in hands-on activities such as pair programming, addressing bugs and blockers, and contributing to technical design and architecture discussions. Your role will involve bridging the gap between business and technology, ensuring alignment and understanding on both sides.

Your Impact:
Lead and Inspire:
Effectively guide a high-performing engineering team, fostering a positive and collaborative culture while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Solve Complex Problems:
Apply strong problem-solving skills to tackle technical challenges, ensuring the successful completion of projects and initiatives.
Mentor and Guide:
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to squad members, maintaining high standards and adherence to industry best practices.
Facilitate Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams—including product management, content, design, SEO, and delivery—to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Promote Growth:
Cultivate a culture of learning and development, supporting the professional growth of team members through ongoing training, mentorship, and skill-building opportunities.
What You'll Bring:
Led the design and implementation of scalable solutions capable of handling large data volumes or high traffic with minimal performance impact.
Skilled in modern frontend technologies, ideally including React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript.
Proficient in deploying applications to cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
Managed and mentored engineers across multiple levels of seniority.
Strong communicator with a track record of effective collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
Deep understanding of best engineering practices, including testing, pair programming, documentation, and code reviews.
