Job Description:
 
We are looking for a results driven, meticulous Head of Finance who will manage and deliver our finance obligations and requirements for our key operating legal entity.
 
This role will be reporting into the Group CFO.
 
Core Tasks:
 
Financial Control:
Full suite of financial control to include accountability for:
 
Bookkeeping in Xero
 
Bank (fiat) reconciliations
 
Bank (crypto) reconciliations
 
Revenue recognition and reconciliations
 
Local VAT reporting and returns
 
Other aspects of financial control
 
Intangible assets register and amortisation/impairment schedule
 
Dividend administration
 
Transfer of assets bookings
 
Local payroll + contractor payments
 
Production and completion of annual statutory accounts and company tax return
 
Manage and complete annual statutory (financial) audit
 
Financial (Management Reporting):
Delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting for P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow statement and supporting qualitative narratives
 
Variance analysis vs Budget/Forecasts and Qualitative reporting
 
Alignment of finance reported numbers with marketing numbers
 
Others:
Facilitation, collation and reporting of the annual budget
 
Rolling forecasts
 
Lead and facilitation of external audit
 
People & team management
 
Point of contact/support with external advisors (accountants & local company director/secretary)
 
Facilitate and assist with board meetings (pack prep, minutes etc)
 
AML and local regulatory compliance
 
Administrative duties
 
Migration of trade(s) as recipient entity
 
Other ad-hoc tasks required from time to time in line with duties
 
Essential Requirements:
 
CCAB qualified (ACA/ACCA) or equivalent with a minimum of 5 yrs PQE
 
Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work to a high level of accuracy
 
Highly organised and an efficient executor
 
The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
 
Effective communicator and keeps the CFO updated on progress & issues
 
Experience of recruiting and managing a team of finance professionals, ranging from senior to junior people
 
Sound knowledge of accounting standards (Local GAAP/IFRS)
 
Proficient in accounting software (ie - Xero or equivalent)
 
Compliance, governance and controls oriented
 
High level of professional and ethical standards
 
Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills (Google sheets and/or MS Excel)
