The Role
Legend is looking for a dynamic and driven Legal Counsel to join our team in St. Helier, Jersey, reporting directly to the Senior Legal Counsel.
In this pivotal role, you will take the lead on a diverse range of transactions and projects across our global operations. You will not only leverage your expertise to support various legal initiatives but also collaborate with the team to enhance capacity and deliver efficient, high-quality legal services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide crucial support across corporate and commercial law, helping the legal team adapt to the company's ongoing growth and evolving needs.
Your Impact:
Enhance the legal team’s capacity by providing key support across various corporate and commercial law areas, helping the team operate more efficiently and effectively.
Take ownership of and lead a diverse range of legal matters, transactions, and projects.
Overseeing day-to-day review of supplier and tooling contracts through the procurement platform.
Supporting corporate transactions, including M&A work, as needed.
Assisting with the drafting, negotiation, and review of commercial contracts, including customer contracts.
Providing legal support on intellectual property, employment matters, corporate structuring, and other strategic projects as they arise.
Contributing to legal operations and driving improvements in processes and systems to enhance team efficiency.
Collaborate with external legal advisors across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring effective use of their expertise to address specific legal needs and manage workload.
What You’ll Bring:
Qualified lawyer with 1-2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial, corporate, and/or technology law, gained either in a law firm or an in-house environment.
Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, strategic, and commercially-focused advice to drive business objectives.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams, building strong relationships and effectively communicating legal insights.
The Interview Process:
1st: Initial Interview with the Talent Partner (30 mins via Zoom)
2nd: Interview with our General Counsel (1 hour video via Zoom)
3rd:Interview with the Senior Legal Counsel (30 mins)
