What you will be doing:
As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will be supporting the Compliance function
through building relationships with different internal teams and public authorities. The role itself is designed to grow as you develop and accumulate experience. It is an exciting but challenging role that requires commitment and good understanding of regulatory
compliance, its relationship with the law and associated risks and opportunities.
Collaborate closely with the Head of Compliance and the broader Gentoo Media
Legal team to instill and reinforce a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
Stay abreast of all relevant iGaming regulations, laws, and industry standards.
Effectively manage the due diligence processes from our various clients on Gentoo
Media.
Support licensing applications and renewal processes of licences and permits in
different jurisdictions.
Support compliance audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Effectively manage customer risk assessments at on-boarding stage and on an
on-going basis, including collecting and maintaining client due diligence
documentation in line with client on-boarding procedures.
Update internal policies and procedures to align with evolving regulatory frameworks.
This includes, but is not limited to, advertising, customer onboarding and KYC,
sanction and AML policies. Working collaboratively with legal and operations teams
to interpret and implement the respective compliance requirements effectively.
Forge relationships with internal stakeholders across different departments. Foster
open communication and collaboration to address regulatory compliance challenges
efficiently.
Effectively improve processes, including using third-party software, to identify, assess and mitigate compliance risks associated with new clients, products, services or market entries.
Manage the application and renewal processes for iGaming licenses and permits in
different jurisdictions.
Assisting with the ongoing monitoring and reviewing all communications and
notifications to regulatory bodies.
Efficiently handle the workload, ensuring deadlines are met.
Who we are looking for:
A degree in Law, Business or in a related field.
A professional certification in GRC, AML or internal audit (or previous
exposure to any one of these areas) is desirable.
A minimum of 2/3 years’ work experience in the regulatory compliance field
preferably within a Big4 firm, regulatory authorities or highly regulated
industries.
Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Excellent reporting writing.
Experience with drafting or updating policies and operating procedures.
Willingness to read regulations in depth and ability to interpret accordingly.
Experience in the gaming, marketing or technology sectors would be
advantageous but not required.
